ஆன்லைன் சங்கமம்

நண்பர்களே நம்முடைய திரைப்பட இலக்கிய சங்கமத்திற்கு இது பத்தாவது ஆண்டு. கடந்த பத்து ஆண்டுகளாக திரைப்படம் மற்றும் திரைப்படம் சார்ந்த நிகழ்வுகளை தொடர்ந்து நடத்திக்கொண்டு வருகிறோம். திரைத்துறையையும் இலக்கியத்துறையையும் இணைக்கவேண்டும். திரைப்படத்துறையில் ஒரு நட்பு வட்டத்தை உருவாக்கவேண்டும் போன்ற எண்ணங்களுடன் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட நம்முடைய சங்கமம் தொடர்ந்து வெற்றிகரமாக நடந்து வருகிறது. சிலவிஷயங்களில் நாம்தான் முன்னோடிகளாக இருந்து வருகிறோம்.

அதுவரையில், விருதுபெற்ற படங்கள் அல்லது நல்ல கலைப்படங்கள் என்று போற்றப்பட்ட படங்களுக்கு மட்டும்தான் விழா அல்லது நிகழ்வுகள் நடத்தப்படும். நாம்தான் முதன்முதலில் ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் வெளிவரும் படங்களிலிருந்து இரண்டு படங்களை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து, ஒரு கலைப்படம் மற்றும் ஒரு கமர்ஷியல் படம் என்று அனைத்து தரப்பிலும் நல்லபடங்கள் என்று நண்பர்கள் தேர்வு செய்த படங்களை எடுத்து, அவற்றிற்கு விமர்சனக்கூட்டங்களும் பாராட்டு விழாக்களும் நடத்தி வந்திருக்கிறோம். அதன்பிறகு நிறைய கல்லூரிகள், நிறுவனங்கள், குழுக்கள் எல்லாம் அதுபோல வெற்றிபெற்ற படங்களுக்கு விழாக்களை எடுப்பதை பார்த்திருக்கிறோம்.

இப்படி வெற்றிகரமாக நடந்துகொண்டிருந்த நமது சங்கமத்திற்கு உண்மையில் கடந்த பிப்ரவரி, மார்ச் மாதத்தில் பத்தாவது ஆண்டுவிழா நடத்த வேண்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்திருந்தோம். அதற்கான ஏற்பாடுகளையும் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தோம். அந்த விழாவில் ஒரு புது முயற்சியாக நம்முடைய சங்கமத்தின் இலக்கை அடுத்த கட்டத்திற்கு எடுத்துச்செல்வதற்காக திரைப்படத்தைப் போலவே நாவல்களுக்கும் மாதாந்திர நிகழ்வுகளை நடத்தி பாராட்டு விழாக்கள் மற்றும் விமர்சனக் கூட்டங்களும் நடத்தலாம் என்று முடிவு செய்திருந்தோம்.

அதன் ஆரம்பத்தை ஆண்டுவிழாவில் வைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம் என்று கடத்த வருடத்தில் வெளியான நாவல்களில் சிறந்த நாவல்களை தேடும் பணியிலும் ஈடுபட்டு வந்திருந்தோம். அதற்காக நமது நண்பர்களிடம் பரிந்துரைகளையும் பெற்றுக்கொண்டிருந்தோம். ஆனால் கொரானா ஊரடங்கு வந்ததனால் அந்த முயற்சிகள் அனைத்துமே தள்ளிவைக்க வேண்டிவந்தது. இப்போது பார்த்தால் கண்ணுக்கு எட்டிய தூரம் வரையில் இந்த வருடத்தில் அந்த நிகழ்வுகளை நடத்த முடியும் என்று தோன்றவில்லை. அரங்கங்களில் ஆண்டுவிழா மட்டுமல்ல மாதாந்திர கூட்டம்கூட நடத்தமுடியாது என்று தோன்றுகிறது.

இந்த சமயத்தில்தான் நமது நண்பர்களும், பல குழுக்களும் ‘சூம்’ போன்ற இணையவழியில் நிகழ்வுகளையும் கூட்டங்களையும் நடத்துவதை பார்த்து வருகிறோம். அதேபோல் நம்முடைய சங்கமத்தையும் அடுத்த கட்டத்திற்கு எடுத்துச்செல்லலாம் என்று நினைத்தோம். அதன் பலன்தான் ஆன்லைன் சங்கமம்.

எல்லோரும் செய்வதைப்போல் அல்லாமல் சற்று வித்தியாசமாக நண்பர்களிடமிருந்து வீடியோக்களை மின்னஞ்சல் மூலமாக வாங்கி ஒரு கருத்தை விவாதித்து, அதை பதிவேற்றலாம் என்று நினைத்திருந்தோம். அதன்படி இந்த மாதத்திற்கான நிகழ்வுகளையும் திட்டமிட்டிருந்தோம். ஆனால் அதை நடத்துவதற்கும் ஒருசில தடைகள், அதாவது சந்தேகங்களும் குழப்பங்களும் நீடித்துக்கொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறது.

இதுவும் ஒரு வழக்கமான நிகழ்வுகளாக மாறிவிடுமோ என்ற சந்தேகம் இருந்து வருகிறது. காரணம் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களை அழைக்கவேண்டும், சினிமா அல்லது நாவல் எந்த தலைப்பாயிருந்தாலும் அதைப்பற்றி பேசவைக்க வேண்டும், அதைத்தான் வீடியோவாக பதிவேற்ற வேண்டும் என்றும் நினைத்தோம். ஆனால் புதிய முறையில் ஆன்லைன் சங்கமம் ஆரம்பிக்கும் பொழுது சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களைவிட அந்த தலைப்பில் விருப்பம் இருக்கும் நண்பர்கள் அனைவரையும் பேசவைக்கவேண்டும் என்ற ஒரு எண்ணம் இருந்தது. அதற்கான முயற்சிகளையும் செய்து வந்திருக்கிறோம்.

ஆனால் மீண்டும் ஒரு பிரச்சினை. வழக்கமாக ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் நிறைய படங்கள் வெளியாகும். அந்த படங்களிலிருந்து இரண்டு படங்களை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து அதற்கு பாராட்டுவிழா அல்லது விமர்சனகூட்டம் வைக்கலாம். அதேபோல் நாவல்களும் நிறைய வெளியாகும். அவற்றிலிருந்து ஒன்றோ இரண்டோ நாவல்களை தேர்வு செய்து பேசலாம். ஆனால் தற்பொழுதைய நிலையில் படங்கள் என்பது ‘ஓடிடி’ போன்ற தளங்களில் ஒன்றோ இரண்டோ மட்டும்தான் வெளியாகிறது. அதேபோல் புத்தகங்களும் ‘கிண்டில்’ போன்ற தளங்களில் ஒன்றோ இரண்டோ மட்டும்தான் வெளியாகிறது.

இவற்றிலிருந்து நல்ல படைப்புகளை தேர்ந்தெடுக்கிறோம் என்று சொன்னால், அது சரியாகும் என்று தோன்றவில்லை. அதனால் இந்த திட்டங்களையும் சற்று தள்ளிவைக்க முடிவு செய்துள்ளோம். முதலில் இந்த ஊரடங்கு முடியட்டும். முழுமையான தளர்வுகள் வரட்டும். அதன்பிறகு வழக்கம்போல படங்களும் புத்தகங்களும் வெளியாக, அப்பொழுது அவற்றிலிருந்து தேர்வு செய்து நம்முடைய நிகழ்வுகளை தொடர்ந்து நடத்தலாம்.

தற்பொழுது ஆன்லைன் சங்கமத்தில் ஒரு புது முயற்சியாக, இன்றைய காலகட்டத்திற்கு மிகவும் தேவையான, அவசியமாக இருப்பதால் திரைப்படம் மற்றும் இலக்கியம் சார்ந்த தலைப்புகளில் தொடர் உரை நிகழ்த்தலாம் என்று முடிவு செய்திருக்கிறோம். அதன் முதல் கட்டமாக ‘நீங்களும் சினிமா எடுக்கலாம்’ என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு தொடர் உரையை ஆரம்பிக்கலாம் என்று உள்ளோம்.

இந்த கொரானா ஊரடங்கு காலத்தில் நான் வழக்கமாக அவ்வப்பொழுது சிறு சிறு வீடியோக்களை இணையதளத்தில் பதிவிட்டு வந்திருக்கிறேன். அதை இந்த கொரானா ஊரடங்கு காலத்தில் மும்மூரமாக செய்து பார்த்தேன். பல வீடியோக்களை பதிவிட்டிருக்கிறேன். கதைகளாக பாடங்களாக சிறப்பு வீடியோக்களாக பல வீடியோக்கள். அதில் ஒன்றிரண்டை என்னுடைய நண்பர்களிடம் பகிர்ந்து அவர்களின் கருத்துக்களையும் அபிப்ராயங்களையும் அறிவுரைகளையும் கேட்டிருக்கிறோம். அதற்கேற்றபடி எல்லாவற்றையும் மாற்றியமைக்க திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறேன். அதை ஒரு புதிய முறையில், ‘ஃப்ரஷ்’ஷாகவே ஆரம்பிப்பது என்று முடிவு செய்துள்ளோம். அதன் ஒரு பகுதியாகவே ஆன்லைன் சங்கமத்தில் தொடர் உரையை பதிவேற்ற முடிவு செய்துள்ளேன்.

ஆன்லைன் சங்கமம் என்று சொல்லும்போது ஏற்கனவே குறிப்பிட்டது போல ஒரு புது முயற்சியாக நண்பர்கள் அனைவருடைய கருத்துக்களையும் வீடியோக்களாக பெற்று பதிவிட ஆசைப்பட்டோம். இது அதற்கான ஒரு வாய்ப்பாக, ஒரு தளமாக இருக்கும்.

Speaking and Writing

Dear friends,

In any language, speaking and writing is totally different. When a person speaks directly or through videos like this, the audience or the viewer can see the face of the speaker. He can hear the voice of the speaker. So the viewer can watch the face reactions, the body language and hear the voice modulation. according to the body language. And he can understand the content of the speech. He can understand what the speaker is telling.

Eventhough the speaker committed some mistakes, in words or sentences, or make mistakes in grammar, the viewer can understand what the speaker is going to tell.

But in writing, The writer and the reader may not be in the same place. May not be in the same time also. The reader cant see the feelings, body language, face reaction of the writer when he was writing the content. So the reader could not understand what the writer is telling, without any description for the feeling or modulations. So in writing additional descriptions for the feeling and body language should be there to convey the content to the reader.  

In speaking, when the speaker speaks, if he commit mistakes in word or sentence, he can stop there and correct, by telling the words like ‘That means’ ‘Which means’ etc and he can correct the word or sentence again. In writing the writer cant do that. He has to correct and the final word only will be published. That should be like that. Then only it will be a good writing.

If you want to speak as in writing, it will be a boring one. And if you write as speaking, it will be something odd to read. Both are different in style and mode of receiving.

Here also I am following the same style.  When I am speaking here, I will use the casual language, very simple language. Even I commit mistakes in words, sentence or grammar, I will ‘try’ to correct immediately. Otherwise I will left as it is. But, when copy the content to writing in our site, I have to follow the grammar a little bit. I have to correct the mistakes and I have to avoid the repetition. The speaking here and the writing in our site will be different in some matters.

So, I request all my friends to remind this when go through the readings and watching the videos. Then only you can follow the both for the purpose of understanding the content and learning the language.

Why English

Dear friends,

From childhood I am very much interested in learning languages. As I studied in Malayalam medium school in Kerala, automatically I learned Malayalam. In the third standard I started to learn English and from fifth standard I started to learn Hindi also. But from childhood, in parallel to Malayalam I learned Tamil also. And after coming to Chennai to enter into the film field, I learned Telugu and Kannada also.

Usually my friends will ask me to help them to learn Malayalam and Tamil, especially Malayalam. And some friends from Karnataka and Andhra will ask for teaching Tamil. So I would like to help them to learn Malayalam, Tamil and English. Now you can ask why Tamil?

In my opinion, Tamil is the oldest and simplest language with very much cultural effect and cultural content. Tamil is the base for languages like Malayalam. It is spread all over the world. It has uniqueness in structure. When I am telling this, you should not think that I am talking emotionally like some friends telling Tamil and Tamil Desiyam etc, etc. I learned Tamil with own interest and then only I am telling my opinion. I would like to help others to learn Tamil. Because it is my ‘grandmother tongue’, as I already noted in my book Thirukkural Eliyakural, Malayalam is my mother and Tamil is mother of Malayalam, and so, Tamil is my grandmother tongue.

The next one is Malayalam. Why Malayalam? It is the youngest classical language. It is derived from Tamil and Sanskrit. Identical to Tamil, with the alphabet ‘zhakaram’, ‘zha’, and vowels ‘ka’, ‘ga’, ‘cha’, ‘nja’ are identical to Sanskrit or Sanskrit based languages. So I would like to help friends to learn Malayalam. Because it is my mother tongue.

The third one is English. There is no question why helping to learn English. Because in our India, in our nation, English is the symbol of brilliancy, intelligence and power. Not just a language! Most of the people want to speak English, and they respect people speaking English. Actually I learned English through Malayalam medium. That is the truth. And my children learned English through Tamil Medium school!

But so many friends want to speak English, and so I am going to help them. But I prefer simple English. Not the English speaking by the scholar. I would like to use English in a simple manner, so I am not going to concentrate on grammar. I would like to concentrate only on simplicity.

I am going to tell it in a new style, in story telling style to help other to learn. For that, I selected three books, Ponniyin Selvan, Randamoozham and my own book Kinder Games. In due course you can understand why I am selecting these books.

One reason is, the story and characters are so popular, as all my friends can understand and easily related to the story and they can understand easily. And I can also teach very easily.

I hope some other friends will start videos in this style for same languages or other languages. If anybody started and follow the same style for some other language, it will be the success of my attempt. And I hope it will come soon.

In parallel I learned Tamil also, which is my grandmother tongue. I wrote about my grandmother tongue in the preface of my book Thirukkural Eliyakural. From third standard I started to learn English and from fifth standard I started to learn Hindi also. And after coming to Chennai to enter into the film field, I learned Telugu and Kannada also.

Usually I would like to help my friends to learn languages. And I am very much interested in teaching also. So usually I will help the friends coming to ask help to learn Malayalam, Tamil and English.

For that purpose I made videos in this site to help my friends to learn Tamil, Malayalam and English. I made so many videos in the past as trial. Now I changed the opinion and now I am concentrating only on English. That is the new decision.

Why English, you can ask. Because English is simply not a language in India. In our nation, English is the symbol of power and symbol of brilliancy. If you speak in English, others will respect you as an intelligent! If you speak in your own language or in any other language, they will not respect so much like that.

In India, most of the people are studying in their own local languages, mother tongue or regional language. They will learn English in the school, but most of the people will fear to talk in English. As already told, I learned English in Malayalam medium school. I started to speak English by learning from my school.

I am not a scholar in English and I am not interested to teach the scholars also. I would like to help my friends, who studied up to 10^th or 12^th in their regional languages or mother tongue, and fear to talk or ‘fear’ to understand the English language. I would like to help them to speak, at least to understand the spoken English.

For that purpose I am using a simple style, I would like to use story telling or lessons to help them to learn English. I will use local words, words from Malayalam and Tamil in this language. I am not bothering about the grammar. I am concentrating only on the simplicity as each and everyone should understand my English.

Helping to learn English through story telling is a new style. I think it is the best way to help them. And this is the first stage of understanding or learning a language. By following one or two stories completely in this style, I hope my friends will start to understand English. And as a quote in Tamil ‘Sithiramum kaippazhakkam, Senthamizhum naappazhakkam’, even for Tamil you have to practice continuously to learn the language. So, you have to follow the stories continuously.

At one time, you will feel that it is not enough. At that stage, that is the second stage, you can go for books or proper classes. That is the second stage! If you think that this not enough and want to go for the second stage, if even one friend think like that, that will be the success of my attempt!

I request all my friends to comment your doubts and opinions about the style. If you feel any word or sentence hard to understand, I will change the words and sentences in the future videos. May be, I couldn’t reply each and every comment there itself, but it will reflect in the future videos.

Dear friends, I request all of you to recommend this to your friends and especially children, even they are studying in English medium. Most of the students will not able to speak English, because they have no platform to hear or speak the language out of the classroom. So this site, or these stories will be useful for the children. And for all my friends want to learn English also, I hope this will be useful.

Again a Good Start

Dear friends,

Almost for the last two and half years, I am making small videos and uploading in this channel, in this site. And a few times, I changed the style and content of the videos also. Of course, I changed, and repeated the content again and again to improve the quality of the videos.

Because, as creator I couldn’t be satisfied with the quality of the videos. I want to make it perfect as possible as I can. So I request my friends to comment their opinions and suggestions on the videos. Actually I shared only a few videos to my friends. Other videos I just uploaded and watched myself, to check and improve the quality.

So many friends tell their suggestions and opinions on the style and content of the videos. They suggest to change even my look, left or right, chin up and down, and voice modulation etc.

I would like to thank all my friends, for their valuable opinions and suggestions. By accepting all opinions and suggestions, I want to change the content a little and start all the videos freshly. But, I think it is not enough. So, now I am totally restarting the videos, restarting the content, including the stories and lessons, and other points.

I am going to restart freshly. All the videos uploaded so far, will be treat as a trial. I will put them in the playlist of trial. And I am sure that, in future, after making so many videos and playlists, this old post or trials will be a lesson for others to follow the style of making videos. And those will be the symbol of hard work and confidence to change for a better quality.

Suggestions and opinions of my friends gave me confidence, make me self confident to take some bold decisions. They help me to clear some doubts confusions in the mind.

So far, I made so many videos, but something is missed in those videos. Now I understand what the reason is. It was that I had no target or aim for the videos uploaded so far. Now I fixed the target, aim or objective of the videos.

Only two objectives! In society, in my friends circle, I would like to help all my friends to learn spoken English. I would like to help all my friends to speak English, at least to understand the English speaking. The second one, I would like to help all my friends in the film field, or all my friends like to enter the film field, to become producers.

For those objectives, I am changing the style and content of videos freshly.  From now onward, following the style in the past also, I would like to tell one story, ie, a fiction and one lesson, ie, a not fiction everyday. Seven stories and seven lessons for a week. All in English! That is the new decision taken with confidence.

And in parallel to the regular videos, special videos on our ‘Film Literature Confluence’ or ‘Online Sangamam’ and ‘Doubts and Notes’ etc. in Tamil or other languages as Special Videos. For regular videos, as I told already, I selected seven stories for the time being, Vanthiyathevan, Jayabharatham, Corona Dreams, Tharavaadu, Kinder Games, Aarambham and White Magic. And the lessons with a slight change in the new style, Personal Lessons, Family Lessons, Social Lessons, Work Lessons, Love Lessons and Cinema Lessons along with one day for Open Diary or Social Diary. These also will be in English.

And the content of the videos will be published in our filmfriendship.com in writing in English and Tamil. I hope this writing and the speech or story telling will be useful for my friends to learn English. And the content of the special videos will help my friends to understand the points or topics about the film field.

Once again I am reminding that there is no compulsion to make minimum videos per day. I don’t want to make pressure on my head itself. Whenever I will get time, I will record and upload the videos. But, I would like to follow the time table as from Sunday to Saturday as from Vanthiyathevan to White Magic and Open Diary or Social Diary to Cinema Lessons. And in parallel special videos, and if I get time, I will upload more videos. There is not limit also.

எந்த ஒரு மொழியாக இருந்தாலும் அதில் எழுதுவதும் பேசுவதும் சற்று வித்தியாசமாகத்தான் இருக்கும். ஒருவர் நேரடியாக அல்லது இதுபோல வீடியோ வழியாக பேசும்பொழுது, கேட்பவர்களுக்கு அல்லது பார்ப்பவர்களுக்கு பேசுபவரின் முகத்தை பார்க்க முடியும். அவருடைய குரலை கேட்க முடியும். அதனால் அவருடைய முக பாவனைகளை, உடல் மொழியை, அதற்கேற்ப வரும் குறல் மாற்றங்களை பார்க்க முடியும். பேச்சின் உள்ளடக்கத்தை புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியும். பேசுபவர் என்ன சொல்ல வருகிறார் என்பது புரியும்.

வார்த்தைகள் அல்லது வாக்கியங்களில் தவறு ஏற்ப்பட்டாலும், இலக்கணப் பிழை ஏற்ப்பட்டாலும் என்ன சொல்ல வருகிறார் என்பதை புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியும்.

ஆனால் எழுத்தில். எழுதுபவரும் வாசிப்பவரும் ஒரே இடத்தில் இருக்கவேண்டும் எனபது இல்லை. ஒரே நேதிலும் இருக்க வேண்டியதில்லை. வாசகனால் எழுதியவரின் பாவனைகளையோ உடல்மொழியையோ பார்க்க முடியாது. அதனால் அந்த விஷயங்களை குறிப்பிட்டு சொல்லும் விவரணைகள இல்லாமல் வாசகனால் முழுமையாக் புரிய வாய்ப்பில்லை. அதனால் உள்ளடக்கத்தை வாசகனுக்கு கடத்த தேவையான விவரணைகள் அங்கே இருக்க வேண்டும்.

பேச்சில், ஒருவர் பேசும்பொழுது வார்த்தையிலோ வாகியதிலோ ஒரு தவறு நேர்ந்தால் அங்கேயே நிறுத்தி, ‘அதுவந்து’ ‘என்ன சொல்ல வந்தேன்னா’ போன்ற வார்த்தைகளை சொல்லி உடனே திருத்திக்கொள்ள முடியும். எழுத்தில் அது முடியாது. தவறுகளை திருத்தி இறுதி வடிவம் மட்டுமே வெளியிடப்படும். அப்படித்தான் வெளியிடப்பட வேண்டும். அதுதான் நல்ல எழுத்து.

பேசுவதைப் போலவே எழுத விரும்பினால் அதை ரசிக்க முடியாது. எழுதுவதைப் போலவே பேசினால் அதுவும் ஏதோபோல் இருக்கும். இரண்டும் அதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும் விதத்தில் வித்தியசமாகவே இருக்கும்.

இங்கே நானும் அதே பாணியைத்தான் பின்பற்றுகிறேன். நான் இங்கு பேசும்பொழுது சாதாரணமாக பேசுகிறேன், எளிய மொழியையே பயன்படுத்துகிறேன். வார்த்தைகளில். வாக்கியங்களில். இலக்கணத்தில் சில தவறுகள் வந்தால் அதை உடனடியாக திருத்த முயற்சிக்கிறேன். முடியவில்லை என்றால் அப்படியே விட்டு விடுவேன். ஆனால் இங்கே அவை எழுத்தாக வரும்பொழுது கொஞ்சம் இலக்கணம் பார்த்துதான் ஆகவேண்டும். தவறுகளை திருத்தவும் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் சொல்வதை தவிர்க்கவும் வேண்டி இருக்கிறது. அதனால் பேச்சுக்கும் எழுத்திற்கும் சில விஷயங்களில் மாறுபாடுகள் இருக்கும்.

வீடியோக்களை பார்க்கும்பொழுதும் இங்கே வாசிக்கும்பொழுதும் அதை  நினைவில் வைத்துக்கொள்ளுமாறு நண்பர்களை கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறேன். அப்பொழுதுதான் கருத்துக்களை புரிந்து கொள்வதற்கும் மொழியை கற்பதற்கும் வசதியாக இருக்கும்.

எதற்கு ஆங்கிலம்

நண்பர்களே,

சிறுவயதிலிருந்தே மொழிகளை கற்றுக்கொள்வது எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்தமான விஷயம். கேரளத்தில் பள்ளிக்கூடத்தில் மலையாள வழியாக படித்ததனால் மலையாளத்தை கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். அது தான் என்னுடைய தாய்மொழியும் கூட! அதற்கு இணையாக தமிழையும் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். ஏனென்ன்றால் அது ஏன் பாட்டி மொழி. என்னுடைய பாட்டி மொழியைப் பற்றி னான என்னுடைய ‘திருக்குறள் எளியகுறள்’ நூலின் முகவுரையில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறேன்.  மூன்றாவது வகுப்பிலிருந்து ஆங்கிலமும், ஐந்தாவது வகுப்பிலிருந்து ஹிந்தியும் கற்றுக்கொள்ள ஆரம்பித்தேன்.. அதன் பிறகு திரைத்துறையில் பணியாற்றுவதற்காக சென்னைக்கு வந்தபிறகு தெலுங்கையும் கன்னடத்தையும் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன்.

வழக்கமாக நான் என்னுடைய நண்பர்கள் மொழிகளை கற்றுக்கொள்ள உதவுவேன். எனக்கு பாடம் சொல்லிக்கொடுப்பது மிகவும் பிடிக்கும். அதனாலேயே தமிழ், மலையாளம், அங்கிலம் என கற்றுக்கொள்ள ஆசைப்படும் நண்பர்களுக்கு நான் உதவுதனுண்டு.

அப்படி நண்பர்கள் தமிழ், மலையாளம், அங்கிலம் கற்றுகொள்ள உதவுவதற்காகவே இங்கே பல வீடியோக்களை பதிவேற்றியிருந்தேன். எல்லாவற்றையும் ஒரு பயிற்சியாகவே செய்துவந்தேன். ஆனால் இப்பொழுது என் என்னத்தை மாற்றிக்கொண்டுள்ளேன். தற்பொழுது ஆங்கிலத்தை மட்டுமே சொல்லிக்கொடுக்க விரும்புகிறேன். அதுதான் புதிய முடிவு.

எஹற்கு ஆங்கிலம் என்று நீங்கள் கேட்கலாம். ஏனென்றால் இந்தியாவில் ஆங்கிலம் ஓர் மொழி மட்டுமல்ல. நம் நாட்டில் ஆங்கிலம் அதிகாரத்தின் அடியாம் மற்றும் அறிவின் அடையாளம்! நீங்கள் ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேசினால், உங்களுக்கு அறிவாளி என்று மற்றவர்கள் மரியாதை தருவார்கள். உங்கள் மொழியிலேயோ அல்லது வேறு மொழிகளிலோ பேசினால் உங்களுக்கு அந்த அளவுக்கு மதிக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

இந்தியாவில் நிறையப்பேர் தங்கள் ஊர் மொழியில், தாய்மொழியில் அல்லது வட்டார மொழியில் தான் படிக்கிறார்கள். அவர்கள் பள்ளியில் ஆங்கிலம் படிப்பார்கள், ஆனால் ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேச பயப்படுவார்கள். ஏற்கனவே சொன்னதுபோல நான் ஆங்கிலத்தை மலையாள வழி பள்ளியில் தான் படித்தேன். அந்த பள்ளியில் படித்துதான் நான் ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேச ஆரம்பித்தேன்.

நான் ஆங்கிலத்தில் புலமை பெற்றவன் அல்ல, அத்துடன் ஆங்கிலத்தில் புலமை இருப்பவர்களுக்கு சொல்லிக்கொடுக்கவும் விரும்பவில்லை. தங்கள் தாய்ம்ழியில், அல்லது வட்டார மொழியில் 10 அல்லது 12ம் வகுப்புவரை படித்துவிட்டு, ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேச பயப்படும் அல்லது ஆங்கிலத்தை புரிந்து கொள்ளவே ‘பய’ப்படும் நண்பர்களுக்கு உதவ விருபுகிறேன். அவர்கள் ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேச, குறைந்த பட்சம் ஆங்கிலத்தை புரிந்துகொள்ள உதவி செய்ய ஆசைப்படுகிறேன்.

கதை சொல்லுதல் வழியாக ஆங்கில கற்றுக்கொள்ள உதவுவது ஒரு புதிய முறை தான். அவர்களுக்கு இது பொருத்தமாக இருக்கும் என்று நம்புகிறேன். இந்த முறையில் ஒன்றோ இரண்டோ கதைகளை பின்பற்றி வந்தாலே அவர்களால் ஆங்கிலத்தை புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியும் என்று நம்புகிறேன். ‘சித்திரமும் கைப்பழக்கம் செந்தமிழும் நாப்பழக்கம்’ எனும் பொன்மொழிக்கேற்ப தமிழைக்கூட கற்றுக்கொள்ள தொடர்ந்து பயிற்சி எடுக்கவேண்டும். அதனால் தொடர்ந்து இக்கதைகளை படித்து வாருங்கள்.    

ஒரு நாள் இது உங்களுக்கு போதாது என தோன்றும். அதுதான் இரண்டாம் கட்டம், அந்த கட்டத்தில் நீங்கள் புத்தகங்களை அல்லது முறையான வகுப்புகள் நோக்கி செல்லலாம். இது போதாது என்று அந்த இரண்டாம் நிலையை நோக்கி நீங்கள் செல்ல விரும்பினால், ஒரு நண்பராவது அப்படி விரும்பினால், அதுதான் இந்த முயற்சியின் வெற்றி!

கடந்த இரண்டடரை வருடங்களாக, நான் இந்த தளத்தில் பல சிறிய வீடியோக்களை எடுத்து பதிவிட்டு வருகிறேன். அத்துடன் அதன் வடிவத்தையும் உள்ளடக்கத்தையும் சில முறை மாற்றியுள்ளேன். அவற்றின் தரத்தை உயர்த்துவதற்காக மட்டுமே அப்படி செய்து வந்தேன்.

ஏனென்றால் ஒரு படைப்பாளியாக என்னால் அதில் திருப்திப்பட முடியவில்லை. என்னால் முடிந்தவரை அதை முழுமையாக திருத்த விரும்பினேன். அதற்காக பல நண்பர்களுடைய அறிவுரைகளையும் அபிபிராயங்களையும் கேட்டேன். உண்மையில் ஒரு சில வீடியோக்களை மட்டுமே நண்பர்களிடம் பகிர்ந்தேன். மற்ற அனைத்தையும் வெறுமெனே பதிவேற்றி நானே பார்த்து, பரிசோதனை செய்து, தரத்தை உயர்த்த முயற்சித்தேன்.

நான் முற்றிலும் புதியதாக ஆரம்பிக்க விரும்புகிறேன். இதுவரை பதிவேற்றிய அனைத்தும் பயிற்சியாக கருதப்படும். வரும்காலத்தில், நிறைய வீடியோக்களை பதிவேற்றிய பின்பு, இந்த பயிற்சி வீடியோக்கள் மற்றவர்களுக்கு ஒரு பாடமாக இருக்கும். கடின உழைப்பிற்கும், தரத்தை மெருகேற்ற எதையும் மாற்றுவதற்கு நம்பிக்கை தருவதாகவும் இருக்கும்.

இரண்டே இரண்டு இலக்குகள்! சமூகத்தில், ஏன் நட்பு வட்டத்தில் அணித்து நண்பர்களும் ஆங்கிலம் பேசுவதற்கு கற்றுக்கொள்ள உதவ வேண்டும், குறைந்த பட்சம் ஆங்கில பேச்சை புரிந்துகொள்ள உதவ வேண்டும். இரண்டாவதாக, திரைத்துறையில் இருக்கும் நண்பர்கள் அனைவரையும், திரைத்துறைக்கு வர வரும்பும் நண்பர்களா அனைவரையும் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் ஆக உதவ வேண்டும்.
