16-வது திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கமம்

திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கமத்தின் அடுத்த நிகழ்வு 2016 பிப்ரவரி மாதம் வெளிவந்த படங்கள் பற்றி நடக்க இருக்கிறது.

ஜனவரி மாதம் கடைசி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை வெளிவந்த ‘இறுதிச்சுற்று’ படத்தைப்பற்றி கடந்த நிகழ்வில் பேச முடியாமல் போனது. (காரணம் அந்த நிகழ்வு மறுநாள் சனிக்கிழமையே நடத்தப்பட்டது.) அதனால் அந்த படம் தற்பொழுது பிப்ரவரி மாதம் வெளிவந்த படங்களுடன் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

‘இறுதிச்சுற்று’, ‘விசாரணை’ மற்றும் ‘சேதுபதி’ ஆகிய மூன்று படங்கள் இந்த நிகழ்வில் விவாதிப்பதற்காக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. 

16வது திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கமம்

முதல் நிகழ்வும் மனநெகிழ்வும்

என்னதான் முயன்றாலும் வழக்கமான ஒரு இலக்கிய நிகழ்வு போலவே குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்திற்கும் சற்று தாமதமாகத்தான் நிகழ்ச்சியை ஆரம்பிக்க முடிந்தது. (வரும் மாதத்திலிருந்து குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் ஆரம்பிக்க வேண்டும் என்று தெளிவாக இருக்கிறேன்.)

அதே போல எதிர்பார்த்த நண்பர்கள் நிறைய பேர் வரவில்லை. (அதற்கு பதிலாக நிறைய புது நண்பர்கள் வந்து சிறப்பித்தனர்.) இவற்றை நினைத்து சிறு வருத்தத்துடன் நிகழ்ச்சியை ஆரம்பித்தாலும், முடிக்கும் போது மனதிற்கு நெகிழ்வாகவே இருந்தது!

ஜனவரி மாதம் வெளியான 15 படங்களிலிருந்து (29-ம் தேதி வெளியான படங்களைத் தவிர்த்து) அழகு குட்டிச் செல்லம், தாரை தப்பட்டை, ரஜினி முருகன், கதகளி என நான்கு படங்களைப்பற்றி மட்டுமே பேசுவதென்று முடிவெடுத்திருந்த்தால் அந்த படங்களை தேர்ந்தெடுத்ததுப்பற்றி கூறி நான் நிகழ்ச்சியை துவங்கி வைத்தேன். நண்பர் திரு கேபிள் சங்கர் இந்த நான்கு படங்களைப்பற்றி பாராட்டவேண்டிய விஷயங்களை பாராட்டியும், விமர்சிக்க வேண்டிய விஷயங்களை விமர்சித்தும் நல்லதொரு உரையை ஆற்றினார்.

பிறகு திரு அழகு குட்டிச் செல்லம் படத்தின் இயக்குனர் திரு சார்லஸ் அந்த படத்தைப்பற்றிய பாராட்டுதல்களுக்கு நன்றியும், விமர்சனங்களுக்கு பதில்களையும் எடுத்துரைத்தார்.

தொடர்ந்து நடந்த கலந்துரையாடலில் பார்வையாளர்கள் எழப்பிய படங்களின் கரு, வெற்றி, வியாபாரம் போன்ற பலவிதமான கேள்விகளுக்கு திரு கேபிள் சங்கரும்,  திரு சார்லசும் பதில் அளிக்க, இது ஒரு ஆக்கப்பூர்வமான கலந்துரையாடலாகவே அமைந்தது. இதை நடத்திய எனக்கு இந்த வெற்றியால் மட்டற்ற மகிழ்ச்சி.

இந்நிகழ்வின் மிகப்பெரும் சிறப்பாக நான் நினைப்பது அழகு குட்டிச் செல்லம் பற்றி நடந்த உரையும் கலந்துரையாடலும்தான். புதியதாக படம் வெளிவரும் சமயங்களில் தொலைக்காட்சிகளில் அப்படங்கள் பற்றி நடக்கும் விளம்பர நிகழ்ச்சிகளிலிருந்து இந்த சந்திப்பு மிகவும் மாறுபடுகிறது. ஒரு மாதம் வெளிவந்த படங்களில், ஒரு நல்ல படத்தை, அதுவும் ரசிகர்களால் அதிகமாக பார்க்கப்படாமல் போன, ஆனால் வெற்றிபெற்றிருக்கவேண்டிய ஒரு சின்ன பட்ஜெட் படத்தைப்பற்றிய கலந்துரையாடலாக இது அமைந்தது.

இந்த சங்கமம், படம் வெளியான நேரத்தில் பார்க்காத ரசிகர்கள் ஐம்பது பேரையாவது (குறைந்தபட்சம்) “இப்படத்தை பார்க்க வேண்டும்” என்று நினைக்கத் தூண்டியிருக்கிறது. அதுவே இதன் பெரும் வெற்றியாக நான் கருதுகிறேன்.

இந்த பாணியில் இச்சங்கமத்தை நடதுதுவது இதுவே முதல் முறை. இந்த முதல்படி வெற்றிப்படியாக அமைந்து, அடுத்து வரும் மாதங்களில் தொடர்ந்து நடத்தி, இந்நிகழ்வை அடுத்தகட்டத்திற்கு நகர்த்துவதற்கான உற்சாகத்தை தருகிறது. இதற்காக கேபிள் சங்கருக்கும், சார்லசுக்கும் நன்றி.

இதை நடத்த உதவியாகவும் உறுதுணையாகவும் இருந்த நண்பர்களுக்கும், வந்து சிறப்பித்த நண்பர்களுக்கும், இதை பதிவு செய்யவந்த தந்தி டிவி குழுவினருக்கும், மற்ற வலைதள குழுவினருக்கும் நன்றிகள்!

15 வது திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கமம்

திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கம்ம் கடந்த மூன்றரை ஆண்டகளில் பதிநான்கு முறை நடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது, தற்பொழுது 15-வது சங்கமம் வரும் சனிக்கிழமை (2016 ஜனவரி 30) அன்று நடத்த திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது,

அன்று மாலை சரியாக ஆறரை மணிக்கு ஆரம்பித்து எட்டரை மணி வரை நடத்தப்படும்.

முன்பு குறிப்பிட்டதுபோல் ,இந்த சங்கமத்திலிருந்து ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் அந்தந்த மாதங்களில் வெளியான படங்களில் இருந்து தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட படங்களைப்பற்றி பேசவும் அதைத் தொடர்ந்து அவை பற்றி கலந்துரையாடவும் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த படங்களின் எழுத்தாளர்கள், இயக்குனர்கள் மற்றும் தயாரிப்பளர்களை இந்த நிகழ்வில் கவுரவிக்க இருக்கிறோம். இவர்கள் இந்நிகழ்வில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாக கலந்து கொள்வார்கள் என நம்புகிறோம்.

இந்த மாத நிகழ்வில் அதன்படி ‘அழகு குட்டி செல்லம், தாரை தப்பட்டை, ரஜினி முருகன் மற்றும் கதகளி’ படங்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. இந்த மாதத்தில் நிறைய படங்கள் வெளியாகியுள்ளன. இருந்தாலும் ஏன் இந்த படங்களை மட்டும் தேர்வு செய்தோம் என்பதற்கான விளக்கம் சங்கமத்தில் அறிவிக்கப்படும்.

நேரம் போதாதால் ஜனவரி 29 அன்று வெளியாகும் படங்களை (சங்கமத்தை 30-ம் தேதி நடத்துவதால்) இந்த தேர்வில் சேர்க்கப்படவில்லை. அவற்றை அடுத்த சங்கமத்தில் தான் பரிசீலிக்க முடியும்.

வழக்கம்போல நண்பர்கள் அனைவரும் வந்து சிறப்பிக்க வேண்டும் என்று வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன்.   

இம்முயற்சியை வெற்றிபெறச்செய்ய, ஊக்குவிக்க, வாழ்த்த வாருங்கள்

இது விவாத மேடை அல்ல, விமர்சனக் கூட்டமும் அல்ல,

கலந்துரையாடலுக்கான களம்!

15th Film Literature Confluence

Film Literature Confluence had been conducted fourteen times in last three and a half years. And the 15^th Confluence is scheduled to conduct on coming Saturday (30^th January 2016).

The programme will be conducted exactly between 6.30 and 8.30 PM on the same day.

As referred early, it is planned to speak and then discuss about the films selected from the list of film released in this month. 

The Writers, Directors and Producers will be honoured in this meet. We hope that they will participate in this meet as our chief guests.

The films ‘Azhaku Kutti Chellam, Tharai Thappattai, Rajini Murugan and Kathakali are selected for this meet. So many films were released in this month. The reason to select only these film will be explained in the meet.

As there in no much time left, the film released on 29^th January (because the meet is conducting on 30^th) are not included in the selection process. Those films will be considered only for the next meet.

All the friends are requested to participate in this meet.

Please participate to make it a success, to encourage and to wish all the best.

This is not a stage for debate or criticism, but for a discussion!

Film Literature Confluence – From now onwards

From the experience of working in the film and literary fields so far and conducting the Film Literature Confluence, my opinion or view about the film and literature is changed totally. Especially about the Tamil film industry.

If avoided seeing anything from a single viewpoint, and watched from another viewpoint, many new questions will be raised. Many new answers will be raised for many questions. They will become reasons to change many things regarding the matter and to make more success.

I everything happened, happening and will happen in cinema too. The cinema is known as an art of directors. Even though, most of the films are introduced and known by the name of stars,  sometimes they are known by the name of directors.   

One thing that was forgotten by this theory is the respect or dignity of writers and producers, that has to be given. Still leaving the stars apart (as considering the films with new faces also), the basement of the film is consisted of three factors, i.e., director, producer and writer. For the time being, it is very necessary to bring the respect and dignity for those three equally. If those three got respected equally, many problems seen in the industry will be nowhere. So, honouring those three is the current aim of Film Literature Confluence. The meets will be conducted to reach that target. 

In each meet, the writers, directors and producers of the selected films released from between the meeting day and the previous meeting day, will be honoured. And the artistes and technicians of those films also will be honoured as much as possible.

By talking about the new films released every month and the men who worked in those films, I hope the meets will have a freshness every month. That will encourage me to conduct the meets and all the friends to participate.

I decided to conduct the meets only for two hours. As the film shows in theatres, the meets has to be started and finished on the prescribed time. One hour has to be spent to talk about the selected films, creators and technicians. The next hour has to be used for the interaction with those guests. I request all friends to help and support me to do this.

Rethinking and a small break

I conducted the confluence continuously for three and a half years. Still I couldn’t conduct every month, because of my financial position and busy works, I conducted fourteen times within that period. Got many experiences from that. Conducted on marriage halls and small rooms. A few meets succeeded as more than a hundred friends participated. A few failed by attracting participants below twenty.  

Conducted the meets by inviting chief guests to a single stage. Some were become just ‘friends meet’ without guests. Even after conducted for three and a half year, I think there is something missing in this confluence. So, I give an interval for this program. Analyzed. Think again and again. Search a way to bring up this confluence above my friends circle.    

I learned some lessons from the experience of conducting the meets. Felt some truths. Understand some practical things. Now I started to conduct the confluence in a new light. Has to conduct the meets now onwards without a break. So, find a way to for that.

Understand that, there was a monotonous feeling in the meets so far. Now I decided to avoid that. For that, decided to make a topic related to the current cinema as the main issue of every meet. Then only, it will give pleasure to the friends to participate in the meets and myself to conduct the meets.

And by the time of beginning the confluence freshly, I am thanking all the guests and friends who helped, supported and encouraged the meets so far.

I am paying homage to Sri Balumahendra, Sri R.C.Sakthi and Sri Rama Narayanan, who guided, helped and left us in the world. 

Film Literature Confluence, So far – 2

Success

‘Good efforts will give good results’. That is general theory. Sometimes, the aim will bring more bright success for that effort. The decision to conduct the Film Literature Confluence without any back ground may be because of my courage. But, the confluence succeeded even before conducting the first meet is only because of its aim!

Sri Balumahendara saw my notice and called on me himself and praise my efforts. That is the best award I got. “We all are talking about this, but you done it..!’ What else will be better success than these words from that pioneer. He not only praise me, but also agreed to be the chief guest of the meet. That is the first success of this confluence.

Sri R.C.Sakthi was also behaved like him. As I told my aim is that to unite the film and literature, he immediately agreed to be chief guest of one meet. Even though he was under dialysis treatment in the morning, he came to the function immediately when reached the home. In this world, where chief guest will cancel their program, he came only to encourage me. Isn’t  because of the aim of the confluence!

Thus I united the film people who loved literature and the literary people who loved films, on a single stage. I think that is really a big success for this confluence. And the confluence created a new friends circle among the film fraternity. That is also a success.

I conducted the confluence continuously for three and a half years. For that, not the creators joined as chief guests are the only reason. The friends helped directly, the good hearts who give financial support, and the film lovers who participated in each meet are also became the reason.  

திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கமம் – இன்றுமுதல்

இதுவரை திரைத்துறையிலும் இலக்கியத்துறையிலும் பணியாற்றிய அனுபவத்தாலும், திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கமம் நடத்திவந்த அனுபவத்தாலும் திரைப்படம் மற்றும் இலக்கியம் சார்ந்த என்னுடைய பார்வை முற்றிலுமாக மாறியிருக்கிறது. குறிப்பாக தமிழ் திரைத்துறையைப் பொறுத்தவரையில்!

எதையும் ஒரே கோணத்தில் பார்ப்பதை விட்டுவிட்டுஈ வேறு ஒரு கோணத்தில் பார்த்தால் பல கேள்விகள் புதியதாக எழும், பல கேள்விகளுக்கு புதுப்புது பதில்கள் கிடைக்கும். அவைதான் அந்த விஷயத்தில் பல மாற்றங்களை ஏற்படுத்தவும், வெற்றிகளை குவிக்கவும் காரணமாக அமையும்.

சினிமாவிலும் அப்படித்தான் நடந்தது, நடக்கிறது, நடக்கும் என்று நான் முழுமையாக நம்புகிறேன். திரைப்படம் என்பது இயக்குநர்களின் கலை என்றே அரியப்படுகிறது. திரைப்படங்கள் பெருவாரியாகவும் நட்சத்திரங்களின் பெயர்களில்தான் அறிமுகப்படுத்தவும் அறியப்படவும் செய்கிறது என்றாலும், பலநேரங்களில் இயக்குநர்களின் பெயர்களில் அறியப்படுகின்றன.

இந்த கோட்பாடுகளால் மறக்கடிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு விஷயம்தான் எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கும் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்கும் கிடைக்கவேண்டியிருந்த மரியாதை அல்லது கவுரவம். நட்சத்திரங்களைத் தவிர்த்துவிட்டு பார்த்தாலும் (புதுமுகங்கள் நடிக்கும் படங்களை கணக்கில் கொள்ளும்போது) திரைப்படத்தின் அஸ்திவாரமாக இருப்பது இயக்குநர், தயாரிப்பாளர் மற்றும் எழுத்தாளர்கள் என்ற மூவர்தான். இந்த மூவருக்கும் ஒரேபோல, சமமாக, இணையான மரியாதையையும் கவுரவத்தையும் பெற்றுத்தருவதுதான் தற்பொழுது திரைத்துறைக்கு மிகவும் அவசியமாக இருக்கிறது. அப்படி இந்த மூவருக்கும் ஒரே போல மரியாதை கிடைக்க ஆரம்பித்தால் இன்று திரைத்துறையில் காணும் பலபிரச்சினைகள் காணாமல் போய்விடும். அதனால் அப்படி இந்த மூவரையும் கவுரவிப்பதுதான் திரைப்பட இலக்கியச் சங்கமத்தின் தற்பொழுதைய லட்சியமாக இருக்கிறது. அதை நோக்கித்தான் இனி நிகழ்வுகள் நடத்தப்பட உள்ளன.

ஒவ்வொரு நிகழ்விலும் முந்தைய சங்கமநாளிலிருந்து தற்பொழுதைய சங்கமத்தேதி வரையிலான நாட்களில் வெளியான படங்களில் இருந்து தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட படங்களின் எழுத்தாளர், இயக்குநர் மற்றும் தயாரிப்பாளர்களை கவரவிப்பது என்ற முடிவை எடுத்துள்ளேன். கூடவே முடிந்தவரை நடிகர்களும் மற்ற தொழில்நுட்ப வல்லுநர்களும் பாராட்டப்படுவார்கள்.

இப்படி ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் வெளியாகும் படங்களிலிருந்து தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்ட படங்கள் மற்றும் அவற்றில் பணியாற்றியவர்களை பேசும்போது அதில் தொடர்ந்து ஒரு புதுமைத்தன்மை இருக்கும் என்று நம்புகிறேன். அது தொடர்ந்து இந்த நிகழ்வை நடத்துவதற்கான உற்சாகத்தை எனக்குத் தரும், இதில் கலந்து கொள்வதற்கான உற்சாகத்தை நிறைய நண்பர்களுக்கும் தரும்.

ஒவ்வொரு நிகழ்வும் சரியாக இரண்டு மணிநேரம் மட்டுமே நடத்த வேண்டும் என திட்டமிட்டுள்ளேன். சினிமா காட்சிகளைப்போல கண்டிப்பாக குறித்த நேரத்தில் ஆரம்பித்து குறித்த நேரத்தில் முடிக்கப்படவேண்டும். அதில் ஒரு மணிநேரம் தேர்வுசெய்யப்பட்ட படங்களில் பணியாற்றிய எழுத்தாளர், இயக்குநர், தயாரிப்பாளர் மற்றும் ஏணைய கலைஞர்கள் பற்றி பேசுவதற்கும், அடுத்த ஒரு மணிநேரம் அவர்களுடன் நண்பர்கள் கலந்துரையாடுவதற்குமாக பயன்படுத்தப்படவேண்டும். இதற்கு நண்பர்கள் அனைவருடைய உதவியையும் ஒத்துழைப்பையும் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன்.
